My Home Town - Fremantle

Now of course you will all think I am bias, though Fremantle is seriously the best place to live & visit in WA.

Freo is a vibrant city full of stunning historic colonial architecture nestled on the beautiful WA coast. It is a big kids playground (with heaps of great kid friendly options to keep the little kids happy too) with great old school aussie pubs, hipster bars, amazing coffee shops & incredible food. Freo is centered around the Fremantle Markets & the Boat Harbour which are seeped in history & bring an awesome vibe to town on the weekends. Freo has it all - you can walk from having a bevie at the pub to the beach in 1 min, with Bathers Beach literally in the center of town & the stunning South Beach only a 10min walk or 2min bus ride away. For the cultured & history inclined there is also some awesome museums, amazing art galleries & the old Fremantle Prison to visit. If the kids are with you the Esplanade in the center of town will keep them entertained for hours with a huge playground, skate park & ferris wheel on offer, then just across the road Little Creatures Brewery has a huge sandpit for the kiddlets to play in while you enjoy a well deserved pint.

Freo has a relaxed bohemian vibe & a really nice mix people who live here and visit. Freo has direct access to Perth city via the Freo train station where you can get a train directly into the city in 20mins. Or you can jump on a ferry & visit the world renowned Rottnest Island from the Freo Warf. Ferry ride takes about 30min.

Throughout the year Freo also hosts a variety of unreal festival & events so be sure to check out what is on when you visit.
